Had a few more light showers until about 1pm yesterday, then a shower at 5pm with sporadic drops for awhile.
Up to 2.6mm in the gauge from yesterday.
Very nice day today great to to see the sun shining, also great BBQ weather  .
Looks like a wet new years eve for the south and west of the south island, although it should clear north of Hokitika by the evening hopefully  .
Cheers
Jason.

Think you guys may need a new thread?

Getting back on topic, it's interesting that in the 16 hours to 9am Wednesday, Akld received more rainfall than for the entire months of Nov (45mm) and Sep (43mm). Dec total currently up to 91mm at Mangere.

P.S. I've added a few more rain totals to that 24hr list to 9am Wednesday.
