Headed up to Porters Pass today to go sledding but too many people in the good areas, so just stayed at the summit for awhile and enjoyed the snow around there.
Snow was melted from Darfeild but was still patchy from about Waddington through to Springfeild, then nothing for awhile until we hit the gorge area where 5-10cm layed on the ground.
Ive seen snow flakes on two days this year so far and its only the first day of winter today, bring on the rest of winter and spring.
I tell you what those pies in Darfield are good, from the Bakery and the dairy shop especially when its a cold snowy day :yum:
