10mm here, not quite as much as I was expecting. It was torrential at Auckland university in the central city. Raining here again at the moment

Yawn, nothing worth mentioning happened here. Pity, we could use the rain.

just what the doctor ordered for northland, 50mm
any more and it would have started to run off (with the ground being so dry)
11mm here, which is good enough

I see MetService have 65.2mm for Kerikeri Aero since early yesterday morn, 40.2mm for Kaikohe and 23.8mm at Whangarei Aero. However, just 7.9mm at Kaitaia Hospital, 12.4mm at Dargaville and 13.8mm on the far NE Purerua Peninsular.

Meanwhile the NRC's Ohaeawai site (10km NE of Kaikohe) recorded 76.5mm yesterday, half of which fell in the hour before 5pm, and 75.5mm at PuhiPuhi (25km N of Whangarei); 47.5mm fell also at Kaeo, 41.5mm at Hikurangi, 36.2mm at Whangarei City and 29.5mm at Marsden Point.

Akld Aero recorded 15.4mm since early yesterday morn and just 6.8mm here. :(

[Edit: Few more figures added.]

Well... there was condensation on the the windows this morning, currently 16.6°C out - overnight min 12.5°C.

Another vid loop of yesterday's rain as it came through the DB area, all thanks to the Rusty Anchor webcam.

Several people in Whakatane & Opotiki I was talking to today that knew I like chasing storms pointed out they had a spectacular early morning lightning show out to the East from around 3am to 5am.

If only it had done it for us somewhere.

I'm pleased some areas desperate for rain got some though.
