Socrates himself will be sorely missed, a nice young thinker but a bugger when he's pissed!
No , I'm not from Oz. Yes, I'm involved in the site and appreciate the comments here (+/-). Of course anything I say here is my own opinion and does not represent the position of my employer.
Cheers

Have glanced the new Met Service site and it looks good. At last they give forecast temperatures. I think this is a site the general public will like.

More radar are needed eg Hamilton, Dunedin, Invercargill.

That's well worth the investment in my opinion. Now, where's my piggy bank....

my two cents worth

I really miss have the times the reports are issued, eg like the inshore Wellington report was every 6hr 5:30 11:30 etc. I like knowing how old the information is.

The print friendly text versions were handy if your wanted a printed version to take away, or a fast loading version of a page you look at alot. Try printing the new site and you'll use a heap of ink for little information. (yeah selection print ;)

And animate the isobar maps inline, keeps the page layout, and is easy to interpret.

hmmm suppose I'm not positive ;)
but a pretty good first try
