Here's hoping! Atleast we'll be in an area of clear surrondings so if anything does come through we can document it.

It should turn out to be a nice day when this high cloud sheet moves off. I can see lenticular clouds over B'sP. It's definately gone NW even though only light and the DP's gone to 1C, hence I dout much with the southerly coming though this evening.

Would these be small Cb's or just high cloud? The cloud tops in the Otago area has that localised feel to it rather than high cloud which normally covers a much more broad area.

I can see no new strikes at this point anyway.

At a glance it looks like shower development to me.

Above is a 3pm sat pic, shows some ok clouds if it is some shower cloud. Maybe Andy might've seen something? Also a bit of Cu on the plains can be seen but that's about it for us. High cloud is moving over me now.

I saw those sat pictures today too and wondered if something was building. Though the temp was bloody cold here today with sporadic light rain and a very strong NW all day.
There is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.
