Lightning photo required

Unread post by C-Nimbus »

I need a large lightning photo for inclusion in a work-related calender shot.

Basically every year my company puts out a calendar with an 'industry focused' photo on it.

This year we did a photo of a major construction job at the Auckland museum.

What I want to do is to include some lightning in the background, and the photographer says that I need the biggest image possible for this to look real.

The attached photo shows roughly what we are doing, but as you can clearly see the lightning has very low resolution.

Can anyone help?

Much appreciated

All my lightning photos are low res. Sorry can't be more help here.

For quality publishing you need about 300dpi resolution. That is very high res. My 5 megapixel camera can achieve a less than A4 size at 300dpi. For this reason I would like to upgrade to atleast 8 megapixel camera in the not too distant future.

I can do a high res scanned image (from 35mm) of a fork from the big bust-up we had up here last year, tracks from Top Right to Bottom Left. Will need to be conveyed via CD though - It clocks in at around 100Mb!

Let me know if you are interested and I'll send a low res teaser to you.

That would be great CbFan!

Please email me on [email protected]

I will send down a blank CD-R to get the image.

And NZStorm (nice work on the website by the way - very informative as usual), i think theres a new Olympus out that people are raving about.

What about the canon EOS or the sony?
