Very nice start to the weekend today, a crisp 2 C outside but clear skies and a lite westerly air flow, also to note some nice clouds are building up over Bp
Fingers crossed maybe?, im off toblenheim so I hope nothing happens down here

October tends to be a boring month for weather in NZ with equinoxial westerlies which tend to be stable but rainy in the west. This October looks to be no exception to that rule.
I notice sea surface temps look quite cold at the moment. Figures I'm looking at are a week old but wouldn't have changed much. 15C in the north to 8C off the Otago coast.

Yes it will be a change but again "We" had F. all stable weather for the last month(well at least boring cold showery windy weather where you cant really do much enjoyable outside)

Hey Michael, you shoud try being a farmer mate, its amazing what you CAN do in ANY type of weather if you HAVE to!!
Intersting 10 Knt Easterly here today, We looked to be heading for a frost until around 130am the wind swung round tot he east and temp graph on WD spiked sharply. Graph shows temp increased 8 degrees in less than 1 hr, quite interesting to see. (excuse my interest if this is a regular occurence! )
Anyway current conditions are:
9.0Knt avg Easterly
1023.6 Hpa (+0.2Hpa/hr)
0.0mm rain 24hrs
Humiity 66%
Clear, blue sky.
