Not much rain in the Nelson area yet, not a drop at my location and only 1mm at Motueka so far.

25mm here so far and sure is blowing - 80km/h mean NE'ers at Tiritiri at 6am (30-40% more for gusts).

According to this report some areas of Akld got up to 65mm? Also 85km/h "winds" at the Sky Tower.

Greylynn showing 31.4mm since yesterday, blustery at times this morning. Currently a mild 19C, dewpoint is 18C.
Hopefully it will brighten up this afternoon, our weather will warm up with any sunshine.

Just got my wind meter working again. Gave the spinning part a poke or two with my good old magnet taped to the end of a super duper long stick... (actually 2 long sticks taped together)

sun briefly came out and straight away the temp shot up and cloud bases darkened. Just need it to come out for a good period. It sure is warm and muggy.
