Thanks for the tip off on the 3G Foggy.

I havn't looked closely at 3G as I've heard negative comments about it. I guess the main problem with it has been the cost. Can use this in USA as well I see, although when you take it out of NZ you are at the mercy of another companys billing ( I took my cell phone with me to USA last year and got a hefty bill).

In my first shot you can just notice there are 5 cgs present, Ive cropped the orignal photo but kept it at orignal size to show. Unsure if this was the cg's Steven was talking about.

The one we saw would have been at about 9pm ? The three CGs were very close together.

That one was taken at 9:43pm or so my camera tells me! I think thats about right. Really need to upgrade, a 4mp camera really doesnt do anything justice.

Looks like this high will become strong and blocking.. should weaken the next low considerably..
However looks like a weak trough will lie over northeastern North Island by Monday sending showers down.

Cold tonight.. brrr!

Looks like the front that was supposed to bring showers and a southerly change to Chch this morning has already been and gone and is a fizzer. Skies have been clear so far this morning, and the barometer has risen. 6am radar shows showers offshore from here; 9am radar has them even further offshore.

I presume you meant 14.8C - it's only April.
