Re: Low pressure sequence 5 -11 Nov
Have picked up 5mm of mostly light to moderate rain here this morning - hoping we can get some further good totals today ahead of the upcoming dry spell... ground can take a bit more yet

Re: Low pressure sequence 5 -11 Nov
If we want lightning this afternoon the skies need to clear up a bit with decent surface heating.
Tomorrow looks like the system is in departure mode with thunder risk east of Huntly.
Looks like there was a good storm over Waiheke Island earlier this morning, about 1.30am, according to lightning data.

Sun is coming out here no thunder here during the night but given that storm early Monday morning I'm not surprised. Hopefully More storms this afternoon.

More cloud and cooler locally than yesterday but the afternoon convergence might be better than yesterday with the southwester pushing in later.

Yep heard that in the hustle and bustle of the CBD, really loud.
17mm in Howick today and looks to be clearing from the east now.

Glad I caught that before leaving for Howick, which misses out again. Just light rain in the CBD, action seems just west of the city
