Managed to Stay NorthWesterly all afternoon here in Grey Lynn, up to a max of 19.7C :)

Cold southerly came through here at 5 to 5pm. Quick drop in temperature of 7C in 45 minutes.
Looked nice though. Shame this didn't happen at the meet the other WE :D
Anyway, I did an experiment though. I pulled a silly face just before the wind-change, maintaining it through the change from the NW to the south. My face returned it's normal look after the wind had changed, so that saying about if you pull a silly face during a wind-change, your face will stay like that, dosen't work o_O :D

:-( oh ...sorry to hear your experiment didn't work John,though i'm sure you're not.

I heard the SW wind change come through here about 4.00am which only brought a bit of cloud :( oh well at least the MS got one of there two forecasts right.

11mm of rain here overnight was snowing at 2am but didnt settle below 400m.

Wet start to the day out on Banks peninsula with snow lying above about 400m. Not much wind though.

Hmm :-k looking quite unstable out there wind currently NE thunderstorms later on :D .
I see MS are forecasting them for us but its not on their convective outlook.

I am also a wee bit suss about the air out there this afternoon, i know we are meant to get showers later on.. and when iv looked at the radar there is showers developing in south canterbury..
Its warmed up quite nicely out there to..it is unstable jase yeah

Finally stopped raining here, 11mm so far. Not as warm as it was yesterday only 11.4C now.

Looking ominous just to the north of TC at the moment but I didn't think anything will come out of it apart from some rain.

It did look quite thundery for awhile with a convergence zone popping up, nothing thundery to note though and the trackers are quiet.
Just a light shower here at the moment and reports of hail not far inland near Mandeville.
