Might need to water the garden - only 15mm rain in the last 3 weeks and dry weather is expected for another week. And, it looks like our night time lows start dipping under 10 from tonight.

Drier,warmer and sunnier for a change.

Bright and sunny with clear skies, and a very chilly-feeling moderate westerly breeze;
4.9 degrees.
Barometer high at about 1031 hPa.

Cooler temps in the north, with Taumarunui down to -2C this morn.

8.1C here at 7am with a light SSE'er. Grey Lynn on 7.7C at 4am.

Possibly Akld's coldest morn so far this year with temps less than 9C at Ak Aero, 6C at Whenuapai and Ardmore - Whangaparoa Peninsular the odd one out on 13C.

Boy thats cold for Auckland! must be a big shock to the system......

A mild 3.9°C this morning here, the wind didnt settle which kept the temp up.

it got to 2 odd degrees thismorning at my place at around 5am but then jumped back to 4 ish when the wind jumped up again.

Still no sign of a frost this year in ChCh. 3.1 dgrees is the lowest I've had at home for 2012 on March 26

Looking at long range we may even get through April without one, early days though

Think Renee meant, Auckland was on 'twenty too' today, not 'twenty two'... lol

Broke my record high pressure this morning, currently 1035.8 hPa.

The record could break again soon in a few hours as the high merges a bit more north.

im not quite there yet. record for me is 1039 and im at 1036 currently. dont think it will get close to breaking my record

Did you reset the elevation offset on the station when it moved, I have noticed that your around 1 hPa too low.
Hamilton AWS, my station is on 1037 hPa.

yea foggy and i tried calibrating it the best we could. perhaps i need to change my altitude by a few metres

1039 is the record for me too, sep 2008

Don't think my high will get beaten 1036.8 hPa on 02/09/2008

Funnily enough my low was set about five weeks earlier 964.7 hPa on 26/07/2008

You're 9 degrees colder than here! Warmer evening here on 14C due to persistent cloud cover since about 3pm

Foggy start to the morning in chc, first one for a while from memory.

Got close to a frost. 1 degree this morn was the low.

Overnight low of 11.2C here at 2:35am. Bit of cloud around.

Akld generally looks like it was warmer than Thurs morn, although I see Ak Aero was again down to 8C, Whenuapai to 6C and I think maybe even 5C for Ardmore. Whangaparoa closer to 15C.

On another note, I see MS show Akld Aero on 22C between noon and 3pm yesterday? I suspect that should be about 20C (as per their TV-temps). Will check later.

I think Rickys WD got to 20.4 off memory yesterday,its usually warmer than airport in calm weather.

I see Auckland Airport has had only 4 days with a maximum temperature below 20C in the last 30 days and no days with the maximum below 19C. Only 1 day with a minimum temperature below 10C there.

Almost a replica of yesterday here,sunny am and overcast pm with almost no wind.
