Also the snow had been deposited nearly 24hr before aaron took the picture, so the amount there is quite a bit less than what fell, it definitly is snow!


3 degrees here at the moment, was a frost but not as bad as yesterday!

Had no frost this morning in Southshore, then again I was probably up to late to know if there was :D

A bit of interesting Cumulus type cloud about despite the high pressure on us at present.

Yes Aaron, you get that quite often here in Christchurch. It's what I call the "1030 scenario" . It's the NE making a come-back when the borometer pressures are quite high.
Re the frosts yetserday morning I was only minus 1.8C despite the amount of black ice and frost that was around.
IDid notice that "white stuff" on the Port Hills yesterday morning.
It didn't look like snow and suggested and mentioned in my diary that it was frost.

I believe it was snow and possible a frost on friday morning, as i saw it on thurs during a break in the cloud and it was a lot whiter than what aarons photo had it almost a day later!
