Low of 1.0C here with a light frost. Thought it would have been colder than that, as it was already 2C at 11pm... maybe because it's early in the season

Down to 3C at Grey Lynn at 5am, will be a light ground frost in the places that catch frost, the last cold morning for a while.

Any trace of frost was gone when I got up (so grate to be retired) but my thermometer in the wood shed reached minus 1.3C.

After yesterday's clagg cleared away overnight, it musta froze as the thermometer in the woodshed dipt down to minus 1.2C.

Another good one this morning, frost that is, with some traces behind the shed still around at noon.

The battery in my little outdoor gadget must be flat, display just showing a row of dots, but clearly it's below zero C - lawn and rooves white.
Will wait for the sun to be higher in the sky before replacing battery
