John - What say the next NZTS international conference be held in the Auck/Waikato region? Seems they get better action than both of us put together!

Could be a good idea or could it be?

The thunderstorms up there are not as good as the ones we get in Canterbury and in the Far North.
At least the ones down here there is always someone on hand to record tornado funnels on video ...
...and chase in classic cars like a Morris Minor

Who wants to build silly storm chasing vehicles like that Aucklander Geoff Mackley, when one can chase in a Morris Minor and get good footage ;) ;)

I suppose a tired '68 Mini Cooper could also qualify then 8)

Hmm...Retro Storm-Chasing Could be a market niche there ;)

Although I am having trouble imagining an old "Moggy" beating across Oklahoma with a wok nailed on the roof for a Doppler, and the rest of the research team tailing on Vespas....

:?: Would Proj. Vortex have got as far as they did if they were all in Reliant Robins? Guaranteed to generate some interesting chase footage though.

Hmm... Waaay OT now.
