Thanks for that URL Steven. Looks interesting.

I think a problem with the compact digital cameras is the slow focus.
SLR digital cameras however, do not suffer from this.

I heard another 'NZTS Insert' on National radio this afternoon with Bob Crowder mentioning the John Gaul roof incident and putting in a plug for the NZTS.

I never heard it as I never got home until 3:30pm and when coming onto the internet to check weather etc, I got an email from Bob to say the programme was on from 3pm.TODAY. I wished I had known earlier
I hope the 'roof incident' wasn't too embarrassing?// :roll: :oops:

And that's the other thing to use to get day time lightning. I've read about those trigger devices in the past but had forgot about them.

I didn't relise Bob was on the radio today. Maybe it was arranged 'all of a sudden?'.
