30 here in Westmorland, Christchurch
Yup same here in HoonHay. Things starting to get quite concerning around here now. Still only about 270mm of rain for the year to date and tomorrow's front as you say Razor may give us 5mm if we are lucky. Warmer temperatures back again in the lead up and through next weekend
I swear this is like a spring heatwave kinda. 23c south Auckland. Not as warm as South Island but I'm enjoying the warm days with cumulus clouds. Hope next week we get a better rain/thunder chance.

.
Edit: I think Musselburgh's 29.1C today should have been its '3rd' highest Oct temp (after 31.0C in 1977 and 30.2C in 2006).
Unlike Rangiora's 28.9C today, which was a mere 0.1C shy of its 1980 Oct record…
Metservice well out with their forecast temp for Timaru today. Only got to 19c rather than the forecast 28.
Thick high cloud all day with no wind at all. Warmest it's been here all day now with 19c currently.
Could we crack 10mm for the month? I moved my bike ride from Monday to today anticipating rain tomorrow...
We've been lucky to have had 25mm so far the month. Notice how dry it is once you drive further than Waipara. Still quite green around here after the wet September.

Absolute scenes, the drizzle here in Lyttelton is furious. We'll be pushing the 1mm threshold for an 'actual rain' warning .
This is what I call the "Violent Drizzle Scenario"
Some kind of convergence maybe getting help from BP rather than the usual shadow, not really sure. Either way it's really nice to watch it come down. No garden watering required for a day or two
Grey overcast day with drizzle/light rain. 8.1mm the total for today.
Today's maximum was 12.9C recorded overnight but today's daytime temperature was around the 10C or 11C mark, a difference from yesterday's warmth of 26C. Had the fire going tonight.Light variable winds and mostly calm this evening.
