Amazing warmth today... up to 18C! Wet and windy night ahead with the leftovers of the front...

Oh, and it's always a nice sign spring is on it's way too... :D

This is rather strange i just went outside and it was breifly sleeting with large drops slapping on the tin roof next door, it's about 5C i would say cold but hmm :-k .
Those radars between 10pm-12am tonight looked interesting with some rather heavy rain in the mix there, would have been a thunderstorm if we were in October or November.
Cheers
Jason.

Good to hear the more southern fields got some. They've had absolutely bugger-all this season. People were saying Ohau had the best conditions and even they were scratching to keep it going, so I'd hate to think how crappy the fields were down Central way. Oh well, at least a bunch of skiers were unhappy, that's the main thing. :P
how ignorant and pessimistic. The snow season has only just begun... how long have you lived in omarama?

Hi! Welcome to the forum! It's lovely to meet you too.

"Pessimistic"? I take it that getting snow is important to you?

Nah mate, I'm guessing it's somebody from Ohau skifield and I have nothing against them. It's their customers I'm not fond of!

Got a bit of a SW change wind squally type of thing, here, around 8:15pm
I took some photos of the developing cloud right through to dusk, but the battery needed recharging on the camera, hense the reason for not putting them up here.
It just shows you how boring the weather is here when one gets excited about this event
Sort of calmed off now.
