Just watched a brief BBC newsclip - it's certainly cold in Europe at present. I think February can often bring you severe weather?

Its very snowy now especially in eastern europe,serbia,austria,romanija,Bulgaria and to former russian area.though the adriatic area still very cold too as alls had a very dry autumn and lulled with a mild winter till a week ago.

LIVIGNO is a town in North Italy (Lombardy region governed by Milan) at 1860 m of altitude that has more than 6 thousand inhabitants + many tourists from every part of europe and world who go there to ski...now (time: 22.52) has -27.1° (min of today: -28.1°)

jesus.. thats unbelievable... I've never seen anything like this in my life in the Mediterranean regions.

After a very warm part of this winter, we had two incredible weeks!

On Jan 31st it start snowing here in Rimini, but after 1 hour the wind from NE, which is warm because it pass over the mountain (fohn) and over the Adriatc sea which temperature was +7°C that day, it started rain... A lot of Rain!!
On feb 1st we had 88.9mm of rain!
But the very cold air from Siberia arrived on Feb 3rd when we had 4cm of snow with -5°C. The day after we had 20cm of snow with NE winds (it was the third time from 1955). The waves of the adriatic sea started icing on the harbour...
There was a lot of wind (gusts over 60km/h, windchill under -10°C) and a heavy snowfall. Over 500m there was about 150cm of snow.

14/02: -4.7°C/+2.7°C
15/02: -4.0°C/+9.0°C

From 16th to 19th the temperature were very high (over 10°C during the day) and today we had 23.6mm of rain with +3°C and snow over 200m.
So now here in Rimini there isn't snow.
The seasonal snowfall for Rimini is 74.5cm, and for Mount S.Paolo (500m over the sea level near Rimini) is 498cm.
