Couldn't see any snow on Port Hills this morning, but a dusting visible on Mt Herbert and on hills around Akaroa. (according to webcam)

Some foaters from yesterday with hail on the rubbish bin and a coupla shots I took today from the "Downs" looking north inland along the foothills towards the Hutt Range in the distant.

Interesting to note for future reference, even though upper air wasnt overly cold it was the 850mb temps and 2m temperatures that kept the freezing levels down to reasonably low levels.
The fact those hail cannons ill call em
kept going all afternoon and evening without very many general rain showers.
Around midnight there was a really heavy hail shower, i was waiting for a clap of thunder.
Warm week ahead and next weekend once we get tonights southerly affair fling out of the way
