When did this happen??? during the past 5 days no doubt.
The strikes off B'sP of course.
Edited: Hmmm, I've just had a look at a few sat images. It was likely the morning of 2nd October around 6.45am.

I remember seeing cloud more dense to the north. 03Storm told me that morning he had seen big clouds off the Kaikora Coast. See here:

There were a group of three strikes in the right direction at 7:09 AM on Sat 2nd. The software had the range further away (400km instead of about 150km) but that's probably because of the weaker signal indoors (that direction is through more of the house).
I've almost finished the (stormwater
) pipe housing for the antenna so I'll install it outside this week even if it's not very high.

Hi Steven, sounds like youve done what I'm planning for the antenna... still excitedly waiting on the hardware, how long did it take for yours to get here?
I was wondering if it may be possible to get a map image from you, as yours looks great and it would be good to have nth and sth looking uniform i reckon..
no probs if not..
eagerly waiting for some action this week..

Hi Richard,
I paid the extra for UPS but even then it took about a week ! Most of that was probably from arriving in AKL to getting here as I've found with them before.
I don't mind creating the maps for you and should manage an initial set today.
Have you downloaded the Nexstorm 1.2 update after registering the software online ? The maps changed size and scale slightly
as well as it adding some new features.
Cheers
Steven

There's a set of maps to start with in http://www.templeton.gen.nz/nsview/nsgreylynn.zip (595kB). That's 300 and 600km for both Nexstorm and Stormvue plus a big "stretchable" map for Nexstorm.
NZ Post do a good job - if you have to pay GST for an import on a Friday they'll usually deliver on the Saturday. With UPS it's sometimes taken until the Tuesday
