Moderate Risk right now for Minnesota, with some high shear & instability. There are quite a few streams up @ severestudios & tornadovideos.net

10% hatched area in store from Minnesota to upper Michigan today.

Just put together this time lapse of the crazy lightning barrage we had on June 12 near Stinnett, on the Texas panhandle.

I wouldn't describe it as 'obscene' . Instead a cloud of awe and admire it's shape and stucture :D

WOW what an experience to behold.

With regards to the picture of the vid I linked, those beautiful outer ridges along the wall of the formation, remind me of sandstone which is almost identical in shape, yet has been formed by flowing water. It would appear that wind currents which create the same pattern are "fluid" like, in the same manner as similar patterns created by water currents.

Textures created by such forces are indeed very sexy

Here is another angle of the tornado, just incredible how it rips that house apart - luckily no one was home @ the time, must be sickening feeling to sit there helpless while it rips a house to shreds :(

- boy that Andy Gabrielson gets around , he must chase everything all year round !

Andy Gabrielson is streaming a Tornado warned cell in North Dakota right now, check out severe studios for the live chase cam - a very impressive looking CU tower & anvil on cam now.

Yeh was following the streams, good chase day it looks like. Wichita was lucky to escape a tornado, there were a couple of reports in outlying areas, but looks like city itself spared.

umm something like 5-6k NZ all up (flights, food, tour ect) nromally around 2,200 for flights and and then the rest depends on the exchange rate. the close encounter is already sold out. i have the last spot pencilled in. the other normal tours are quite a bit cheaper.
