Down to 4 degrees this morning, a little chilly. Certainly no Indian Summer this year.....

NIWA's rain forecast model is off with the fairies with 27mm of rain forecast for Christchurch on Sunday. It's still hard to believe it ranked first in terms of accuracy when The Press did a study of forecast accuracy comparing it other agencies such as Metservice, I find it to be the least accurate...

I agree. It's on a par with Weatherwatch and their computer generated forecasts/temps for some areas!

Wonderful warm weather here the past couple of days. Sitting around 25 degrees for my lunchtime run today, loving it!

April weather has been very good this year. Rainfall numbers are up for a big part of NZ however much of the rainfall was from short duration heavy falls.

Looks like we will see some heavy showers in the Auckland area Sunday morning and again overnight Sun into Monday am.

Huh? The ms computer model has 80mm for us tonight. Where has that come from?

A pool of unstable air to cross overnight/morning. We will have to see what comes of it.

Short spell of heavy rain here with Ricky's station showing 16.4mm last hr.

Nice fine sunny day here and we had the Morris Dancers around.
Sadly the frocks didn't arrive so we just had to sit around and drink beer.

Ended up with 30mm here. Sitting on 235 for the month. Two very wet months in a row. On the back of a wet month.

32.2mm at Greylynn with 15 mm falling in an hour yesterday evening, overnight min was a balmy 17C.

Tomorrow night looks chilly for Auckland, cold dry air, clear sky cooling,might be a breeze to hold temperatures up a bit.

Yes I noticed too - I very rarely get wet on exercise thanks to the rain radar, but today I got soaked...

Wet and windy, southerly, here and 9.1deg C at present.

Getting more rain than what was forcasted, MS said yesterday that we would get around 3mm, up 7mm so far with a few more hours to go yet.

Some humble pie on offer, 19mm and counting here, more to come yet in showers. Rather breezy now too.
