WOO HOO NORTHLAND!
Jeez, what a cool morning! I'm sitting in my room here in kerikeri, the whole house is shaking from the thunder and the gale force winds!! You wanna see the clouds - wish my pxt fone took better pics.. Its so neat, mums freaking out cuz the wind drops right off every so often, and then BAM - she thinks its a tornado (i wish - i'm obsessed with them) This is the first proper storm we've had in a while..
please excuse me while i go retreive my washing from the neighbours paddock

yes go northland indeed here in dargaville i have recorded a gust of 114kph and averaging about 80kph form the northwest and yes at times it dies of a bit here and bamb it is bk again had gales since 10 am this morning pressure still low as at 974 contidtions r so ripe for tornadoes i am also obsessed with them squalls have been swesome go Northland havent had a blow like this for a while
Well the wind is getting worse, I'm sitting here listening to branches falling off the trees.. im pissed off too cuz my tamarillo tree fell over and snapped at the base Rain is horizontal cuz of the wind being so strong..
I've been out and about today following the thunderclouds, and not a sign of rotation from about 4pm onwards.. I'm most disappointed.. then again saying that, having a tornado during the day is fine, cuz i'm happy to watch it etc.. but having one at night, that's a different story all together.
I hope everyone is safe tonight

I remember a job many years ago. Police were called to an inner city Auckland flat after garbage men noticed blood and gore leading from a car up to and on the door of the property. It looked very bad so the street was cordoned and a homicide investigation was readied. Finally CIB did a door knock and a very crook looking guy answered after a long long time.Angel wrote:Well the wind is getting worse, I'm sitting here listening to branches falling off the trees.. im pissed off too cuz my tamarillo tree fell over and snapped at the base Rain is horizontal cuz of the wind being so strong..

Long story short: he'd been to a party the night before where he'd drunk way too much and consumed a big bag of tree tomatoes. The drive home proved too much for his stomach though...
It gave everybody involved a damn good laugh for days and days!
