i think half the trick is to know which model to go for
the Bracknel is also very good, but its not publicly availble (normaly)

Our weather forecasts are based on GFS data from the NOAA/NESDIS weather server.
I think info displayed on metvuw will be same information that the Ready Models provides.

But it has difficult plotting parameters at 'surface' so it's good to set it at 1000mb
It is showing the southeasterly gales for eastern waters tomorrow really nicely!
There was another link, but i've lost it.. it's somewhere on the forum though..
