A little while away, but first though we should see a passage of a weak trough on Monday/Tuesday bringing a few showers to some northern districts.
Then fine weather with warm northwesterlies tending northeast.

Quite a few storms firing off at the moment in the East of Australia, not sure if they can keep on chugging along though against that ridge of high pressure?
Maps tend to show a decaying HP system rather than an incoming low from the N'thn Tasman Seas, lowering risks of thunderstorms.

What do you think Steven, Brian or anyone? :)

Models starting to push this event onto Monday-Tuesday next week or not at all.

However! Heavy rain looks to set into Westland on Thursday/Friday this week bringing quite a deluge, flooding possible... this will be more to what they're used to.

I see the MetService have put out a 'moderate' risk of thunderstorms over Inland North Island tomorrow :D
