Orca's in the manukau

awsome sight,they came in real close here to grahams beach as we watched from the shore
(sorry, not really a weather topic) :D

There were Orca observed near Auckland the other day(TV1). Can't quite remember where, Waitemata harbour I think.

About thirty years ago, I went out on a tiny Hartley cabin cruiser into Mercury Bay. After a while a large pod of Orca approached the boat, checked us out, then spent a leisurely hour or so swimming and frolicking alongside. Absolutely magic, one of the best days of my life.

Killer whales eat great white sharks...
They seem to love humans :D incredible creatures

Most were in Raglan Harbour today.. may have been the same ones?

That's a proven fact, though they might attack large sharks, seeing them as competition. Orca's could become valuable diving companions - better than being confined to a diving cage.

...and now becauuse of the Orca (Aucka) whale
I have always found Aucklanders to be Awkward??? ;) 8) :D :roll:

Some of the pod returned to Raglan on Friday.. but they are all in the Bay of Islands at the moment!
