Kapiti or "Carpity" as they now call it seems to have often an inflated temperature due to a thermonitor left out in the sun?
This has happened especially this year and is out of wack with other areas in the region ie Palmerston Nth,Wanganui and Wellington
Can it be explained or are these true readings?
Kapiti

Kapiti (AKA Paraparaumu?) must receive a particularly strong fohn effect from northeasterlies/easterlies, being in the lee of the Tararuas. But it seems to have had an unusually high number of abnormally warm temperature readings this year. Maybe due to an unusually high frequency of these fohn winds.
