That one funnel you have on camera John, I very much doubt it is a funnel, becuse it's not rotating.NZ Thunderstorm Soc wrote:I have only seen one but then I could of seen others?

I dont think it was an error, it was very sticky and unpleasant in Chch earlier today. Here in Amberley we had dewpoints of 15-16 before the breeze got up.
EDIT: I checked back on the weather station at home and it recorded an 18 degree dewpoint at midday.

Cb's out west of here are about 100km away although they look closer. Sounding indicates tops to 12000m. What is triggering these? Must be some sort of convergence line.
No doubt it was an accurate reading. A lot of moisture around CH last day or two.Must be an error Aaron or you Guys will be sweltering.

Looks like southland is having another good Thunderstorm. This time over the Catlins, and out to sea. Also Huge Cb off the West Coast.

It was a great show. Quite a distance out to sea but numerous flashes. I went down to the beach to watch it about 11pm.03 Stormchaser wrote:Looks like southland is having another good Thunderstorm. This time over the Catlins, and out to sea. Also Huge Cb off the West Coast.
There is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.
