Night Lightning shots

Unread post by 03Stormchaser »

These few lighting shots below I took this mornig between 1-2am from Dunsandel looking south. I ended up with about 14 pics of lightning but none really gave the cb credit. This probably because I was too far away.

Enjoy :)

Good Morning

Here in the south the thunderstorms & hail woke me up around 2.00am. I swear it was all happening right above my house. As I type this we are gettting another hailstorm and it's rather chilly considering it's coming from the nor norwest. 8)

Thought you guys would have been out looking at the sky last night. :)

Well done on your photo's.

Perhaps NZstorm was closer to the storm as he is in Timaru however at 2am he probably missed it.

I did notice the storm. I woke at 1.30am and noticed the lightning. I watched it for about 10mins. Excellent work there Stormchaser.

Clear and cool here this morning with a light easterly.

Awsome shots steve!! Dam, me and Steven graham (Steven Graham and I, use proper English Aaron!) went out to hopefully catch the Timaru storm as it moved up and off the coast but it died. We then noticed very distant flashes out to sea at Cooper's Lagoon around 10:30/11pm however it was just too distant. We would've been in an awsome place to get some lightning photo's but turned back as things looked like they died. Bugger...............

Hopfully something today!

Yeah, so what? She's into weather too, it'd be rude not to give her the chance to attend. I know I'd be pretty disappointed if you guys were chasing storms in my area and I never got invited.
