look to the north

Unread post by Manukau heads obs »

a sudden jet stream angled very NNW/SSE suddenly appearing to the NNE of NZ, which is starting to activate a weak easterly troughy area to the north of us (which is ripe with moisture left over from TC Erica)....I wonder if anything will come of it...might develop an upper low that might beat down to the surface..,,,
thoughts anyone?

models show the high will dominate into next week...
there are some areas of NZ still needing drought breaking rain, like tarakani to manawatu....
and some eastern and NE SI areas too.....
