did not notice any hail showers....yesterday...that was not the best forecasting...
the day before there was plenty around

We had a little hail yesterday, though not as much as Saturday / Friday

Yeah. Metservice tends to always over forcast a day or two after we have had a significant weather event(lighting). Not the most professional approach I must say. 8)

We had big hail last evening, around 5.50pm (big as in quantity, not size).

well there you go.,....
we missed it here..but thats why i said, here, at least
the showers were changing intensity alot as they moved through....so you would either get a hailer or not...

We had it in Swanson too, and another very big hailstorm around 4am today

actualy , brassnz, i thought that shower had hail in it..i was watching that one.....i was expecting we would get it here..but we didnt
i will retract my comment about the hail forecasts...which were needed then :oops:

was talking to a local today who had damage to their house after a lightning strike on friday afternoon (when I was driving along throuhh it)
blew out apliances in the kitchen, and damaged part of the ceiling/wall


gusting to 40 kts here, and cold....been down to 7oC in the rain we got an hour or so ago...amazingly cold for here for june

There are the most amazing looking clouds to the west of Auk. They look like the side of a hail storm looks, its an almost yellowish ting to the bottom of the cloud also. Verticle and long wisps.

they look like snow clouds.....if you were high enough altitude, it would be I would say!

you can see a very cold top cb with the sun on it over the coromandel ....way to my east...
and cold looking old anvil type cloud above us, mama and all

9.9oC max temp all day here....but 9.8 at the moment,.,,
