There was a nice display of cc just before sunset tonight... weather lore says 'Mackeral sky - not long wet, not long dry'

The front is pretty much on us now with strong wind and rain.

Are there any live satellite/rain radar pictures online? I'm sick of going to the metservice and have them saying 6pm when it's 8pm :/

We had extremely heavy rain here for the last hour, no wind and it stopped 20 mins ago. The cross roads 50meters away from our house is now a river. I rang the council about blocked drains 2 days ago and nothing was done. :x I unblocked one but it's too cold.

Above all in the misty heights of Kelburn, they all believe the weather changes in 3-hour blocks, it's really quite fascinating watching the weather like that!! :D :D

Seriously, it's a worry you have to log on to overseas' websites to access hourly (the way it should be) satellite pictures.

Yea :D :D . We actually live up the other end of Seabrook, and practically every drain gets blocked with leaves this time of year and I know what you mean, "Aquaplane" it happened again yesterday. We must be the only ones who notice it and care lol ;) .
