Sunshine, and lots of it.

Unread post by Frits_Schouten »

Four days in a row I recorded the exact same sunshine hours.
Not a cloud in the sky for four days. That is pretty rare, I'd say.

I don't have a bright light meter with my weather station. I've fabricated some sort of solar sensor. It's a temperature sensor on a heat sink in a glass jar high up on a pole on the roof and I compare this temperature with the temperature in the screen and some compensation for the wind.
It's pretty close to the genuine article, I would say.

Looks to have come to an end today #-o with that weak trough over Northland bringing over high cloud. But fog patches this morning here.

Edit, seems to be a thunderstorm 200km westwards of Auckland.. just playing against the blocking high there :)

Not much happening in the Mackenzie. Just a patchy high overcast. No snow, and most are anticipating rain.

Waiuku branches the Manukau Heads.. north of Port Waikato and west of Pukekohe.
