Ooooh...a windstorm! That'd be cool (and the windchill factor very cool...), but I can't even remember what wind sounds like these days!sw_windbow wrote:same here, if i wanted all day sunshine i'd live in Cairns. What i'd like is a southerly windstorm, a great nest of gales all twisting and shrieking all day.
Omarama, Lake Ohau and Twizel weather stations are still predicting snow right now, so maybe it'll happen.

Its really pointless discussing dates 2 weeks out as models change so much, so no can say it will snow or not, probably more not than will!!tornadoman18 wrote:hey well yeah id love it to snow real heavy on the 10 or 12th of july but not the 11th please nooooo thats the one day of the year i dont want it to because i have my full licence test to go for.colin manson wrote:the big one snow beween 10th and 12th of july i heard a raido guy say . i don't know how

Well... I heard through a friend's wife's mother's friend's son (yes that is correct), who incidentally works for MS, that Dunedin is in for a HUGE snowfall around July 6th and 7th.
So there!!!
If that's not true well I think I will just give up on weather altogether

There is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.

This Tuesday,Wednesday could possibly see snow down to very low levels especially on Wednesday morning so here is hoping for some more flakes .
This comes as some what extra bonus because the event I am watching out for is 10th July area and I have a feeling this one could be bigger then the 12th.
Just wait and see aye.
May as well start calling south island S-iceland .
Cheers
Jason.

cold morning here because of cloud cover that came in just after sunrise....still only 5oC at 9:30 am.....cold for us anyway!
(should warm up though when the easterly winds come in from the pacific, whih should keep this warmer now for next few days...?)
2.8oC colder than other junes here (for last 5 years anway).....
must be one of aucklands coldest junes on record?

Yes Brian, a very cold June but atleast this southerly cold air is less damp.
Last year a cold June was followed by a warm July/ August, here's hoping.
