I can see the lighest dusting on the top of Flagstaff (over 600m) and right now a light squall appears to be drifting over there. Maybe snow in that but temps are stil not that low. Does look like a snowy sky though.
Disappointing

Temperatures on the rise currently at 6.5deg.
Interesting given the forecaste (A FORECASTE IS ONLY A BEST GUESS) and the elevation of the hills around Dunedin that there is almost nothing on the tops. Normally we would see at least the hills covered in snow.
I guess the temperatures were simply not cold enough anywhere for the snow to eventuate.
It would be interesting to read what the experts think happened given the results.

We had hail this morning from approx 4 - 4.45 am (I knew this as I had my wisdom tooth out yesterday and was awake and in pain waiting until I could have the next lot of pain killers and had been staring at the clock for about an hour), couldn't be bothered getting out of bed to look, but husband did and said it was all over the ground.
