Closest action with my boltek yet! Not sure if it's ranging properly though against ricky's one..

heading back home today,.....my station must have lost connection to the internet...router needs resetting....
some heavy rain here overnight in Turangi....
lots of snow still on the road side/out in the fields, around the desert road (in drifts)
lots of snow up in ruapehu too,,,,but it was drizzling up there yesterday, so not very pleasent....kids just played in the snow beside the carpark....
will be good to go home to some action cb's over the next few days?
(also, finally got the usa storm chase video dubbed off (our video camera packed up when i went to play it when i got home (and too old, no spare parts they told us)....so will need to have a auckland weather meet to show the video...some good footage (some bad footage too, LOL)

From what I an see from here just a few Towering Cu showers around Auckland, but some distant Cb to our SW.
Looks like plenty of Action in the Tasman
Here's a photo looking into Waikato, you need a good eye to see the Cb top.

oh man, looks like Hamilton's getting it AGAIN! I hate Aucklands weather! It might just be me, but when I look at all sat pics, lightning trackers and radar pics, storms seem to switch off to the South west of Auckland out to sea before making land fall. Why does this constantly happen? It can't be land topography because it often happens 50km off shore. Is there a cold surface water current out there or something? It can't be put down to chance because it happens so frequently. It is very frustrating
