'Sleety showers to sea level' - I heard that just recently and I'm still waiting.Janos wrote:Starting to appear in the forecasts another burst of possible low level snow for Southland and Otago early next week.

I was going to put up a posting called "Monday-ICE-tis" but you have bet me too it by this posting. ..bugger
All these cold weather events seem to be occuring on a Monday.
By the way I have put out my first thunderstorm warning of the forth-coming 2006/2008 thunderstormn season.
A 3 for sunday and a 1 for Monday.
These could alter as we get closer to the day.

I'd be surprised C-Nimbus considering it's been forecast a few times this winter and never eventuated. Really been a non-event winter down here compared to other parts of the SI.03Stormchaser wrote:Poor you! That's why I chose a 3.
Things could and probably will change before the change Sunday/Monday.

Is 1 a higher chance of thunder or 5? I've forgotten! And these numbers are only for Canterbury, right?NZ Thunderstorm Soc wrote:I was going to put up a posting called "Monday-ICE-tis" but you have bet me too it by this posting. ..bugger

Lets hope it's not the best storm of the season Andrew I am sure there will be plenty this year.
Warming up nicly out there 19.8C could reach early 20's and tomorrow as well .
I can certainly see more a spring like pattern occuring now with the weather outlook being NW-SW but more NW days meaning less colder days .
Cheers
Jason.
