Risk of Thunder, Friday

Unread post by Willoughby »

Looks like tomorrow may see a moderate risk of a few thunderstorms developing from Taranaki to Gisborne, but the air is too dry over the east.. hopefully the westerly eases and increase the likelyhood of convergance?
Looking quite cloudy so hopefully that breaks and increases convection.

northern taranaki to Raglan certainly in the firing line today.....strikestar is showing the plots accurately (combined plots)

not sure how much more further north its going to be able to push into the ridge?
nearly already warmer here at 6:30am that it was all day on monday....with this NW wind :)

light showers here and low cloud , this morning....rain radar shows very little (cloud and rain too low maybe) and IR sat image shows a hint of the remains of that front (cloud is warm , does not show up very well )
its the opening of the newly rebuilt repica of the manukau heads light house today,(next to the signal station), and the hon Helen Clark will be there to open it.....in the clouds and rain if this weak front does not clear before lunch time!
