We have high dew points and very high humidity. Very good energy for a thunderstorm.

Strikes really picking up now over the upper NI, even the lower NI. Occassional rumbles of thunder here.

its interesting comparing the different bolteks
i think the waitak ranges and the waikato ranges block my reception a bit....

neither rick'ys or mine are picking up the waikato strikes that you are foggy

you really need to use all 3 together
(i have not adjusted my ranging, mine might be plotting a bit to far away )

that heavy rain line of the waitaks sliding down onto us now..,.

the south kaipara is getting good number of strikes and heavy rain at the moment!

strikes all around here, boltec doing well for in this area

(I can here the thuner over the rain)
squally at times heavy rain here now

We have a clearance from the north-west. Sun even! Very black towards Auckland, no cloud features - just dark

The rain gauge has 40mm in it so far, since 9am today.
