If you listen to the Met Service forecasts for Auckland you would think we are in for a wet weekend. This is not the case though, just a few light showers. Should be mainly dry with sunny periods. ;)

looks like we are in for an extended period of southwesterlies but these should be mainly stable.

Looks like that extremely weak front is through Auckland now with the Stratocumulus breaking up. We got just a few puffs of drizzle out of it here in central Auckland. ;)

Calm clear days are not that common in Auckland anyway Michael. So don't expect them. ;) Today is your typical Auckland day with 3/8 cu/sc.
Westerly is about 08kts here. Temp 19C.

Weather this week looks reasonable unless you live on the SI west coast.
A distinct chance of thundery weather for parts of the country later in week.

I would hate for you to come and live in Christchurch, Micheal.
You would moan about the North-easterlies.
A nice day yesterday (Saturday) was ruined at 12:15pm when the Ne sea-breeze came in. Here it was a pleasant 23C before hand and by 1pm, the temperature in my screen had dropped to 15C in full sunshine. It variated between 15C and 18C for the rest of the afternoon before the cloud moved in and then dropped to 13C
