Rimutaka Hill Road Summit Weather Station
Hey guys, on the way back from Masteton yesterday I stopped at the summit of the Rimutaka Hill Road and there is a AWS there at the summit. It looks to be fully automated, I just wondered if this data was available online? Does anyone know the history of the weather station and how long it has been there? It looked like it had'nt been there for too long, but then I may be wrong. It must record some decent wind gusts up that way!

I'm guessing it's another station run by Transit, they have many of these on state highways to look for road closure due to snow/heavy rain.
Unless it's a NRFA station, which it might be..
