Front was fairly weak compared to what was forecast. Still, we got 15mm here which is useful for the garden. Its time to batten down the hatches now for a several days of wintry southerly quarter weather!

Most of the heavy stuff passed to our E/NE.
Good to 15mm for the garden, we are on volcanic rock here.

My rain gauge no longer in operation, but we had a decent heavy shower (12mm in Hastings) and I had to make a rapid gutter-clearing dash up the ladder!

If you are on Telecom 027, set up an on-line gallery on the PC, then download photos from the phone. They can then be easily accessed to your PC files.
(You may have to be with Xtra)

Some heavy showers from Taranaki to Cape Farewell at the moment, poor day time heating probably wont lead to much over the upper north.

Some cold nights on the way.. should drop to 5C tonight!! :)
Few mornings of frost look set for Waiouru.

Still some pretty big Cu's forming over the Kaimais...

Crawled over the Kaimais around 2ish this arvo, felt like it was only around 8° - 10° up there at the time, we had an edge of a very heavy squall come through the mount around 4ish, man did it pelt down but no sign of any electrical activity around Tauranga though...

Fresh to strong Westerlies reduced heating and convection, any heavy showers were short lived.
Did a drive down to the Bombay hills mid afternoon, drove through 3 hail showers. Cb cloud in the photo below produced hail up to 1cm size, around 2pm.
