Again things are looking hopeful tomorrow afternoon for more thunder in the Bop region - fingers crossed...
Cloud cover will be a big limiting factor for thunder toaday ( central eastern parts NI ).
A fine start to our day but showers have moved in from the West.(photo)

Looks like a roll cloud in that photo there spwill.
Looks like some orographic cloud in Graemes' photo.

It wasn't stationary at all - it was moving very quickly! Unlike me today

Still nice and sunny here with 16.6°, bit of cu and other stuff floating around but not looking like showers or rain, hopefully things will warm up nicely here and spark up later on this arvo...

Well, a weak thunderstorm has developed this afternoon to the southeast.
Visuals are poor here, so i'm not sure which cell is the one being picked up by the trackers. hmm
/edit, looks like this cell is firing around near Tokoroa.

A friend who drove through Waikato this afternoon told me they had thunder, lightning and small hail at Matamata.
Could see some Cb tops down that way from here but there has been a lot of cloud around today for a good view, clearing now.
