To be fair I stole the idea from James in the other thread. Another feature I like is Red Hill below Nelson. It is a flagwaving mutation in the genes of the South Island's geological evolution, as I understand it, and man doesn't it look out of place. Looks like it dropped in from Aus.

It makes the distances between the places you like to drive between look so small yet it takes ages driving in a car. Very interesting.
