10 Knots in Auckland

Unread post by Michael »

On ZB this morning the forecast is 10 knot Northerlies this morning may get to 15 this afternoon-It looks fairly breezy out there this morn and the clouds are "racing" across the sky-also humid and wet underfoot AGAIN!
Those lucky people down "South" having summer still.

19mm since 8.00am in Ashburton, looking at the Rakaia rain radar looks fairly widespread, what we need now is for the rain to carry on for the next 12 hours or so.
Midday Saturday.

I'm glad Canterbury is finally getting the rain. The farmers down there
really need it. And looks like there will be yet another rainy episode
early next week with that southerly change.

Yes, I agree brian. This sheet of High cloud over the north currently has
little or no precip.

The front over Canterbury is looking weaker by the hour. I guess with the moist air, the heaviest falls would be from oregraphic lifting.

Isolated thermal convective cb's poping up over lower North island this
afternoon.
