Pffft!

TonyT's forecasting methodology:

1. Write lots of different outlooks on small PostIt notes,

2. Apply said PostIt notes to flat vertical surface,

3. Wrap opaque fabric strip around head at eye-level,

4. Grab fistfuls of darts and start throwing.

And it's not even original, he stole the methodology from the NZ Met Service!
You hate it when I'm right, dont you Gary?!

Oh how we missed your contrary wit over those dull summer months!

Gary on Thursday:

I've finally worked out why it doesnt snow in the Mackenzie after June - its only after June that Gary really gets cracking with the hot air generation! :-w

Ahah! But that changed! It stopped snowing within seconds of me posting the above and the snow on the ground is turning to slush...and it's still mild, grey and damp!

See, I win again. Now send me a medal.

We have had a few more falls this morning. Flurries even in the city around 10am. But only sticking to the road surfaces above 200m. The flow is very easterly too.
There is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.

YES isn't it frustrating that this is all happening and Christchurch is getting nothing?
Usually when it snows down in ashvagus it will reach up this way but not this time obviously.
Christchurch has a funny habbit of not doing what its told when forcasted alot of the time as i i have lived here all my life over the years and yet when something does happen its usually a good event, not "expected" I think we can safely say this is A fizzer now.
But congrats too fencepost/CRT again for being most accurate. =D>

BTW cantabs theres always next time ;)

Apparently it's been snowing this morning in Timaru, but not settling. Just overcast here in Chch - sure feels wintry, but coming coming from the sky. (liquid or frozen)

Not one rain drop in burwood/shirley, in fact I think I might put some sun screen on.

We havent had any raindrops for about four hours, where I am. According to tvnz weather report, the weather is going to improve.

As soon as they annouced chch wouldnt get a cricket test this season, I knew there would be no rain.
