Sorry, I mean if I go to http://www.metservice.com/warnings/thunderstorm-outlook and right click the first image and save as a PNG on my computer, then try to upload that file it is consistently reproducible for me. By raw I was meaning straight from metservice server unmodified.

Ok I see now. Try saving it as a gif. And this works fine for me.David wrote: ↑Mon 09/04/2018 10:22 Sorry, I mean if I go to http://www.metservice.com/warnings/thunderstorm-outlook and right click the first image and save as a PNG on my computer, then try to upload that file it is consistently reproducible for me. Re: Forum Talk
Hi!
The forum ran out of disk space (rotational logs etc) and it crashed the MySQL database. Then MariaDB would not restart due to an unknown reason. MySQL was then repaired.

Re: Forum Talk
Hi. I cannot update my signature. It reports the error "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image. Please verify that the URL you entered is correct.".
I have a weather station banner in my signature which has been there for a long time, but now it doesn't like it and won't accept any changes to the signature while that remains in there.

I'll see if I can update to the latest phpBB over the weekend. This should fix this issue.David wrote: ↑Thu 03/01/2019 21:28 Hi. I cannot update my signature. It reports the error "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image. Please verify that the URL you entered is correct.".

Re: Forum Talk
An update has failed, so I had to revert to a disk image backup made before the failed update.
A couple of recent posts will have later times to when they were actually posted.
Edit: another update is being attempted now.

Re: Forum Talk
Managed to update to banner image - just replaced the old file on the server instead. Can't update my links to https though, but not too much of a problem as I have the correct redirects in place on the server.
It looks like my new banner is a little large now that I see it on the forum... might try to downsize it a little.
edit: downsized by around 10%.

Users can now paste image contents and snips from their clipboard, to make it a whole lot easier to share content.

Re: Forum Talk
The server ran out of disk space and crashed the MySQL logs again and I was away from my laptop to rectify this.
It should be all good now.

Are you using Firefox? If so it'll automatically block Facebook tracking (and it's videos) across the web.Thunder081 wrote: ↑Sun 11/08/2019 16:42 For some reason I can't embed public facebook video's here anymore?

Hey I know why now it's cause I'm using a browser called Brave that blocks ads and stuff. I used Microsoft Edge and it was working.Willoughby wrote: ↑Tue 13/08/2019 18:04Are you using Firefox? Re: Forum Talk
I polled the database this morning to show forum activity over the years.
You can see the effect other social media has had with a drop off in posts from about 2012 as Facebook became prolific. June 2006 was the forum's biggest ever month with record snow events over the south and Christchurch in particular. Also the Winter/Summer swings are quite notable.

However, it has been pretty stable since about 2013, which is when i think two members left, both of whom had been very frequent and prolific posters.Willoughby wrote: ↑Sun 08/09/2019 12:34 I polled the database this morning to show forum activity over the years.
