i see metservice are mentioning the possibility......
maybe not enough heating in the sun yet....

Cloud and showers developing now out over the warm Tasman under that cold upper air.

I don't think anything much is going to hit the Waikato unless its the west coast out by Raglan and Kawhia!

Gonna get hit with a frost tomorrow. But clouds will come in so not sure when that will happen - before sunrise?

Auckland may get something as it drifts northeast...

Some towering cumulus just starting to develop here now to my W...some cirro cumulus too! :)

Just rained here, wasn't too heavy though. Temp dropped from 15 to 11.
Wait until the warmer weather and then we should see some nice convective activity :P

there was a nice CB just to the south of the Bombay hills at around 2:30pm (but i did not have my camera on me) ;)

Looks like its all cleared up now just like metservice forecast =D> (they're only right half the time!)
Could get quite cold tonight, but probably not cold enough for frost here.

Very welcoming to see land-based convection/ T/Cu develop to Cb.
Locked
