ne of those things where you have one night to take it home?
In the last week I had to do 5 3hr practice exams, glad they're done!
No, it was a 9 week project. I'm finishing it off.
And I had 6 practice exams.
Snow is still forecast to low levels for Canterbury in latest forecasts by both MetService and Blue Skies, sea-level flurries still possible until tomorrow afternoon according to the latter.
But I am almost positive there will be no settilng snow.

The next front can be seen clearly on the 5pm radar with some icy showers in south canty, so the colder air is on its way in my books 8) .
Cheers
Jason.
yup still on its way!

Just had sleet and hail here so it must not be far off from those flakes.
Now currently raining and wind has swung SE.
Cheers

What will you be forecasting down at your CWW Canterbury Weatehr Watching site anyway?

And that's probably just the tail end of the first band. But it is possible...that there is still going to be a colder front I guess...just the temps down south don't suggest anything.

Excluding the taster we had this morning. Not forgetting the great fall early winter.'

But Tornadoman i think you meant sleet as opposed to sleep too much of the latter and youll miss the main event

Ah, good you Otago people are finally realizing you've had enough of the stuff this winter!

I still can't see any major frontal band or anything.

10cm of rain for you, while we are under the yellow ball, with 10cm of snow? Yes, I agree with you.

At long last, I think the temperature is starting to fall here. Could just be the nighttime though. ;)

I notice the temp on TV1 for CH today was 12C. But that occured at 2am. ](*,)
They should have had the afternoon max temp on for all those SI centres. Looked a bit silly having a high of 12C on a day with snow.

But Metservice records the meteorological readings for each day after 9am to 9am the next morning?

The person presenting the weather should have noticed the error and sorted it out.
I believe the proper high for CH was around 6C glancing the airport metars. BTW that is close to the Sept record low max of 5.3C which occured in 2005.

That's a bit of a lower max temp than I thought... :-k

Very cold for September.

Especially when we don't get snow on that day.
